Hello. My name is Christina Erichsen. I grew up in Chicago Illinois where I got an under graduate degree at Columbia University. I ventured onto obtaining a masters in Counseling from Concordia University. My husband I decided to take a leap of faith and try out Southern living. I adore it in Wilmington and am happy to share my experiences with you. After a few years of working in the psych ward at the Oaks, I decided I was ready for a change. I received my real estate license in 2005. From the beginning, I have specialized in the downtown and historic neighborhoods. I am a current resident in Forest Hills. I am drawn to the character and charm of both mature neighborhoods and houses. After saving up our money and renovating our own homes, and working extremely hard, my husband, who is a licensed General Contractor and I started a small development company, Dogwood Design and Development. We have earned several awards for compatible new construction in historic neighborhoods. We build spec houses along with with doing renovations for ourselves and our clients. I understand the real estate industry from an investor perspective, developer perspective, designer perspective, and also from the emotional perspective as I am a mother of two small children. I feel like I do more counseling as a realtor than I ever did working in the hospital and I also feel like working with me is comforting because I am understanding, patient, and knowledgeable. My specialty is listing homes in the historic areas, but I am experienced in all of New Hanover County.
If you would like to chat about your particular needs, I am available to listen. Honestly, you may find your own homes to view with all the information available on the internet, but where you need me most is my expertise in negotiating and advice on how to best approach the homes you may find. It's my job to get you to contract and guide you through closing. Thanks for the opportunity.
