Like my father, I was born and raised in Wilmington and have a real love and appreciation for the local community. I graduated from John T. Hoggard High School in 1997 (where I was proudly inducted into the athletic hall of fame) and pursued and earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of South Florida. At USF I competed on the Varsity Soccer team, captaining my senior year team to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Desiring to further my education I then attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, earning a master’s degrees in communications studies. From there I decided that it was time to return to Wilmington to help manage and run my family’s auto dealership, Bruce Cavenaugh’s Automart. I did this for 17 years gaining invaluable experience which undoubtedly helps me in the real estate field. My Collegiate athletic and work experience taught me the importance of determination, hard work, and teamwork. I look forward to applying all of these necessary skills in working with you to assist you with all of your real estate needs and desires.

In my free time I enjoy going to see live music, exercising and spending time with my beautiful wife Jana, daughter Hayden, three dogs Gracie, Rutherford the Brave, Willow and cat Keifth. I also enjoy participating in community events and am a member of one of the local Masonic lodges in the area. I have always had a great interest in the real estate market and enjoy aiding my clients in navigating the real estate waters.
