The Porters Neck area is located just north of Ogden as you head north on route 17. This area is one of the last areas to be developed in Wilmington, or New Hanover County to be specific. One of the most established and popular communities in Wilmington is Porter's Neck Plantation, a 650 acre gated golfing community surrounding a Tom Fazio designed course. Golf Digest ranked this golf course number 1 on the North Carolina coast. Porter’s neck also maintains seven clay tennis courts, a fully equipped sports center and a magnificent 18th Century Federal-style clubhouse.
