Saturday April 5
15th Annual Boat Show
From 9:30a – 4:30p, enjoy the 15th Annual Boat Show sponsored by Cape Fear Community College. A celebration of the craft of boat building, the event takes place in Downtown Wilmington on Water Street. A special tent will be set up for children to put together their own toy sailboat with kits donated from Home Depot.
Money Smart Day for kids and teens
Money Smart Day for kids and teens at the Main Library in downtown Wilmington, NC teaches kids/teens the importance of handling money responsibly. Pizza, popcorn and refreshments will be served in the 3rd floor lobby throughout Money Smart Day. No registration is necessary. Teen program begins at 12:30 and kids program at 1:30.
Star Party
Public star gazing session takes place at Carolina Beach State Park. Meet at the visitor center where telescopes will be set up for viewing opportunities. Cape Fear Museum is bringing its Starlab planetarium for mini-shows. 7:30p ~ 10p.
Sunday April 6
Residents FREE Day
The first Sunday of every month is New Hanover County Residents FREE day at Cape Fear Museum and Airlie Gardens. Check their sites for hours.
Carnivorous Plant Hike
Take a hike with a park ranger and learn about the fascinating world of the carnivorous plants that grow at Carolina Beach State Park. Meet at the Nature Trail parking lot at 11a.
